From watching a video review on cnet they say Avira is a very good free anti-virus program but it very difficult to uninstall so how do you remove it if you do not like it?
Read this forum and try what they say:
If you want to uninstall it,first you must disable the program.you do that by right click on the programs icon in the tool tray(lower R.H. corner) and choose thavira antivir cnete option to disable it,shut it off,ect and then you can proceed to uninstall the rest of the program Avira is a very good anti-virus.It has the highest virus detection rate.I had it and liked it very much.The only thing I didn't like about it was that it didn't scan in coming or out going mail.But according to the CNET report,that if an e-mail was infected,then Avira waavira antivir cnets right there to stop it once the e-mail was opened.
not true they have a uninstaller in the program it's on the start menu you can use that or open the control panel and choose add and remove programs they also offer a registry cleaner from their website it's in the downloads/tools section this will completely remove any registry items after unistall
