My computer was bought before three years.Now I installed a mcfee antivirus software.After the installation, my computer began to work slow. I can't understand the reason.Anyone help me to find a good antivirus software for my system.

*Never install more than one anti-virus on your PC, as they may conflict with each other. On the other hand, its always good to install more than one anti-spyware.
You can use AVG Free and along with that, you can also try Zone Alarm to protech your computer with an extra security (FireWall)
how much ram do you have? it can be a combination of your processor speed and the amount of ram. i run xp, use norton, and have some added spyware p-grams. if you only have 128 ram, (considering the age of your puter, it's possible), i would look at adding another 128 memory stick, (cheap and easy fix).
