I have a 02 S60 D5, the tripometer does not work showing Average miles etc, I used to have the ordinary stalk i have bought a new one that should show the relevant info, it turns but shows nothing on the display, Volvo charge over ￡400.00 for it the software, how do i get it to work cheap
Softwavolvo softwarere programming can only be done from the dealer or a garage that has VIDA to access the software from Volvo.
There is a fee from Volvo to download the software plus the fee from the dealer or garage. 400.00 seems pretty high for the software download.
Call around to different garagesvolvo software that specialize in Volvo to see if they have VIDA and how much they charge for the download of software.
you cant. they make it so you have to take it to the ddealer. merc, bmw, saab, volvo and porche do that. its their way of making money. annoying for me im a machanic.
